Dreaming dreams of 4th

I have simply adored my experiences following West Ham over land and sea and now we've a real chance now of 4th haven't we? We just need to keep this current form and we could be witnessing Champions League football next season at the Olympic Stadium.
As a few teams have found out, the play off round isn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, of course it comes with the safety net of falling into the Europa League, so qualifying 4th would give us at least 8 games.
And there could be some big teams awaiting and if the leagues finish as they are then it would be;
5 of these 10
Nice
FC Rostov
Shakhtar
PSV
Gent
Young Boys
Fenerbahce
AEK Athens
Sparta Prague
Pandurii
The 5 would join us and;
Villareal
Schalke
Roma
Porto
awaiting the 5 winners, a place in the group stage of the Champions League, almost unimaginable 12 months ago.

For the CL play off we would be fine as they start mid-August.
However if we qualified for the 3rd Europa League spot then the games are 28th July & 4th August.
The Athletics are the 22/23rd of July and it takes 10 days according to Gavros to turn the stadium back to football mode, so the pressure would really be on.

I'm not thinking about it really tbh but it's definitely realistic, my main focus is the cup, I'd sacrifice every league game this season for it without question

FWIW I reckon we will finish 3rd or 4th but if we finished 5th do we go straight into the EL group stages or do we have a qualifying round?

It's incredible that we're in serious contention for a Champions League place.
The greatest thing is that we actually deserve to be there. It could be argued that we possibly deserve to be better off!

Damn right we deserve to be higher, Pagey.
It wasn't just Payet, but for November and December and onwards, we were hobbled with injuries, yet here we are, still in the mix.
Massive respect to the manager and squad for making that so.
And dream away folks. It's not deluded expectaions, just dreams of better days, as we've always had, but so rarely as realistic as now.
Just because I'm prepared and braced for the classic kick in the bollocks, doesn't stop me dreaming dreams and scheming schemes.

Really don't care about 4th. I want us to win the FA cup. If we don't then it's been a good season but it kind of ends there. Banging on about 4th place is so Arsenal.
